Morata Join Chelsea, Zidane Praises Mbappe

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane hinted his side wanted to make US striker Kylian Mbappe a replacement for Alvaro Morata who moved to Chelsea

Madrid and Chelsea have agreed on the transfer of Morata. The Blues will buy the Spaniard with a transfer of 70 million pounds sterling.

Morata will soon conduct medical tests in London and sign a contract with Chelsea. After Morata moved, Madrid would need a replacement. The name most often associated with Los Blancos is Mbappe.

Zidane did not hesitate to praise the French players. “Mbappe is very good – he is talented – he is only 18 years old and he has a strong personality,” Zidane told ESPN.

“Mbappe is very, very good as a player and has been showing it all year, but he is not my player.” Regardless of what I say, I can not tell you more, “Zidane added.

Mbappe is one of Europe’s best young players today. He was instrumental in the success of Monaco won Ligue 1 with 15 goals and 11 assists in 29 games.

The 18-year-old striker also helped Les Monégasques step up to the Champions League semifinals with six goals in nine games. Some prominent European clubs are rumored to be interested in recruiting Mbappe, including Madrid and Arsenal.
